Birchbox X Tatler Review – November 2016

November’s Birchbox comes to you in collaboration with Tatler and oh what beautiful collaboration it is. It’s Peacock feather front to its blue draw makes it the perfect combination and the prettiest box of them all. Birchbox say ‘From the ultimate two-step cleansing system to an indulgent body lotion from the masters of aromatherapy, it’s packed with indulgent products from the UK’s beauty greats’ and i couldn’t agree more.
Beauty boxes appear to be focusing on the Party Ready theme and Birchbox is no exception. This box enables you to get ready to party easily and quickly. From Hair care to skin care to makeup- you’re covered this month.

This month sees 5 beautiful products one of which being the Full Size Wet Brush. I have been super excited about getting my hands on this!
There is also an exclusive offer to subscribe to Tatler for just £12 for 12 issues plus a chance to win the ultimate party beauty bundle worth over £250. RRP £28!

Birchbox is a New York City-based online monthly subscription service that sends its subscribers a box of four to five selected samples of makeup, or other beauty related products each month.

In my box;

– Obsessive Compulsive Cosmetics Lip Tar Primer
If there is one thing you NEED throughout November to March it’s a lip balm/lip primer! Lips can get so dry and chapped and keeping them hydrated is a must. This primer contains Vitamin E and peppermint oil, which really hydrates the lip meaning it leaves it super soft. It also helps to keep lipstick looking smooth and last a whole lot longer. I really liked this product. Although i never ever get dry lips i found my lipstick to last a whole lot longer.

– Midi Wet Brush
If you’re a Tangle Teezer love but find sometimes it is to harsh on your knots and tangle and you’re looking for something a lot kinder on your hair then the Wet Brush is for you. It’s really gentle on the scalp yet tough enough to fight tangles due to its thin bristles. This product is also perfect handbag size too making it great to take everywhere.

– Beauty Protector Protect & De-tangle Leave in Conditioning Spray
Let me start by saying this smells amazing! I am always mega skeptical about leave in conditioners as they can leave the hair so greasy. But, not this one! Not only is it great as a leave in conditioner but it is vegan, paraben- and sulphate-free. It de-tangles and minimises frizz, whilst protecting colour and adding shine. It also provides protection against UV rays and heat! It is like a little miracle bottle!

– Nuxe Creme Prodigieuse
Most moisturisers unfortunately do not cater to combination skin. It is really hard of a product to deal with both oil and dryness. However, this product actually does it really well. I really suffer from a real combi skin but this cream seems to calm it very well.

– Marcelle BB Cream Golden Glow Illuminator
When i say this product caters to everyone – i mean it . It hydrates and calms skin, evens tone, controls shine, lightly masks imperfections, and, thanks to tiny flecks of light-reflecting pigments, infuses skin with a fresh-from the-yoga-studio radiance. This hypoallergenic, gluten-free, perfume-free, and oil-free formula is perfect for those with sensitive skin. As much as i love the product i feel i couldn’t really put it to the test too much (especially in public) as this shade was far to dark for my pale pasty cheeks.

I think everyone would agree this design for the Tatler Collaboration is an absolute beaut! The pretty peacock feathers along with the blue and purple work so well together it was 100% the most beautiful box of them all this month. The contents i feel was a little bit samey, i appear to get a lot of moisturisers, however, the products i did receive were really good quality and mostly usable. Whilst i wont get much use out of the BB Cream (due to the shade) i havent put down my Wet brush.
