The Ultimate Christmas Playlist

The festive adverts have started and Christmas songs are creeping onto your favourite radio stations, although i am yet to see the coca-cola advert yet. (That’s when you know Christmas is finally here). One of my favourite things to do on the build up to Christmas is listen to Christmas music. I love to have a mug of tea or hot chocolate around the fire just blissfully relaxing in the Christmas cheer.

A little music in the back ground really does make it perfect, however, creating that Christmas playlist is always a hard task. There are some songs that we listen to once and once is enough, there are some we have to turn the radio off for and there are some that are stuck on repeat all day everyday. A CD (if people even listen to them anymore) always has songs on it no one wants to listen to too.
So here is my take on the top songs you need in your Christmas playlist;

Stop The Cavalry by Jona Lewis
Baby, It’s Cold Outside By Tom Jones & Cerys Matthews
The Power of Love By Frankie Goes To Hollywood
A Spaceman Came Travelling By Chris De Burgh
Do They Know It’s Christmas By Band Aid
Merry Christmas Everybody By Slade
I Wish It Could Be Chrsitasm Everyday By Wizzard
Wonderful Christmastime By Paul McCartney
Happy Christmas (War is Over) By John Lennon & Yoko Ono
Last Christmas By Wham
Driving Home For Christmas By Chris Rea
Step Into Christmas By Elton John
Walking In The Air By Aled Jones
Fairytale of New York By The Pogues & Kirsty MacColl
I Believe In Father Christmas By Greg Lake
Christmas Lights By Coldplay
Christmas (Baby Please Come Home) By Michael Buble
All I Want For Christmas Is You By Mariah Carey

What’s your favourite Christmas song?

Merry Christmas you beautiful lot!
