Birchbox Review – December 2016
I cannot believe that the festive season is upon us and across the globe we are seeing all those wonderful beauty boxes leave the warehouses heading for our doormats. This is one box i was super excited for. Birchbox is one of the main beauty subscriptions on the market right now, their sample selection are normally quite good and of good quality. Decembers Merry And Bright box physically was very beautiful and useful. I love the fact the box has a lid and can be re-used (see last pic). However, the contents i was a little disappointed at. For the first time in a while we are seeing some prestigious brands, however, the benefit Pore Professional i have received twice already in other boxes, Laura Mercier in another box this month and the liquid eyeliner in a box last month. So for me personally the box was a bit disappointing, however, this is for me personally. If you took the fact i had duplicates out of the equation, then, Birchbox have done pretty well.
Birchbox is a monthly subscription service. Each month, when you subscribe, you will receive 5 wonderful beauty items from well-known and upcoming brands. Occasionally you may even see a lifestyle item too! The company offer a choice of subscriptions. There are a few items that vary that you may receive this month, from Benefit to Bobbi Brown to Ciate.
– Benefit The Pore Professional
– Amie Deep Pore Exfoliating Polish
– Percy & Reed Wonder Hair Balm
-Laura Mercier Caviar Stick
– Ciate Fierce Flicks Liquid Eyeliner
Although i will use most of the product, i did expect more from Birchbox this month. I usually cannot speak highly enough of Birchbox, however, I’m hoping January will see the glimmer back in my eyes. Birchbox do not normally have the likes of Bobbi Brown and Benefit in their boxes so this box is super good value for money. The products themselves were mostly fantastic, but, as i said above, if i hadn’t received the products elsewhere i would have been shouting will glee from the rooftops!
