Little Known Box | 1st Birthday Box
I can’t believe a whole year has gone by and Little Known Box are having their 1st birthday! Seriously, where has the last 12 months gone! So firstly a big fat HAPPY 1st BIRTHDAY to the beauties over at the company.
The lovely ladies have come up with a glorious box to celebrate and I can tell you now, I may have let out a bit of an excited squeal when opening it. However, I am getting ahead of myself here. So what is Little Known Box? It is a monthly subscription box that is passionate about featuring ‘little-known’ products, from independent, niche, upcoming and emerging brands. You can choose a monthly plan for £14.95 + P&P or choose from prepay plans of 3, 6 or 12 months from £43.35-£149.40. You can also go to the shop tab and purchase one-off past boxes from the past 3 months which is great if you saw a box you liked recently. I love this option as sometimes you order to late and may received the following months box, so you can always go back and pick and choose which box you want. One off boxes are £15.95 and there is also a Limited Edition box to get your paws on for £34.95.
So May is Birthday Box month and the box is totally filled up with some great goodies.
This is what is included;
Technic Cosmetics Highlighter is a slightly pink shimmery highlighter. I was really excited to try this and I found all highlighters sit on your skin very different and can actually look very different even when they are of similar shade. So I found this one to be very subtle but still enough to notice you are wearing it. It is not hugely pigmented but I think this is a good thing when it comes to a highlighter. I didn’t find it lasted all day on its own, I found that it does need a setting spray to really stay all day,but overall I really liked it.
Now Betty Hula is not a brand I have heard of before but the Body Moisturiser above was the first thing I saw when I opened my box and I couldn’t wait to try it. Rum and Blackcurrant is something that I initially thought was a little weird but it does smell really nice and not too strong. I hate when you moisturise and then put some perfume on and all you can smell is the moisturiser. This one contains Shea butter which I found to be really nourishing and left my skin really soft. Ten out of Ten on this one Little Known Box.
Oils Of Heaven Organic Face Oil is next. I am not a huge fan of facial oil only simply because I hate the feeling of oil on my face, it feels greasy and dirty. However, I did try this one as it contains Argan Oil and we all know how good this is for you. The consistency is good and the product smells lovely but I am not a huge fan of Oil like I say so I don’t think this one is for me but that is literally just personal preference.
EEEKKK next we have Spacemasks Face Mask. So if you’ve been reading my blog you will know I recently done a whole blog piece on these beauties. (If not you can read it here). I absolutely loved these mask and pretty much everything about them. This product is great for if you’re busy on the go all the time, rushing from flight to flight or even simply to nurse a hangover. Actually it works particularly well when you are nursing a hangover. The warmth from the mask radiates to your head banishing that headache too (I found). After using just one of these masks I felt like I wanted to sleep for the rest of the day.
Seacret Facial Wipes I used a shed load of these annoyingly before taking a proper photo but that’s only because they are so amazing. They smell gorgeous and I love that they use minerals and salts from the dead sea and the wipes themselves are super super soft. They are Oil based which I think is a bit of a shame as it doesn’t really seem to help combi skin. However as a makeup remover they are great and not as harsh as so many are out there.
There was also a black and gold zipped Makeup pouch.
I am going to be honest when I saw the Nanshy Large Blending Brush I did think, ah ANOTHER blending brush but meh that’s just because I have so many. The brush itself is super super soft and great for blending it turns out. Nanshy brushes are cruelty free and actually vegan friendly as they are using synthetic bristles. This is always a plus as nobody wants a tailless horse so to speak.
In each of the boxes there are normally between 5 and 7 goodies. I was pretty pleased to see 7 goodies in this beaut of a box. I literally loved everything about this box. It was put together so well and really thought out. There was a little bit of everything in there and I will probably end up re-buying most of these items. I loved that there is a Spacemask in there too as I loved the one I had tried previously. All of the products were really good sizes too which is normally not the case.
The company have really grown since there first box and they just get better and better with every single month and to have come up with such a beautiful Birthday Box just shows the sort of company they are. They stand out from the crowd and they stand to be different. I love it!
