Dollibox | May 2017
So I know it is now June and this review is a little late and I am sorry my loves. Life in May just ran away with me but June is back on track, I promise.
I love a colourful subscription box, and Dollibox is just that. Every month the bright blue outer packing and bright pink shredded centre always puts a smile on my face. This month sees 6 glorious goodies all very different yet all equally as brilliant.
Dollibox is a monthly subscription box for £10 plus £3.90 p&p. You can either get a 3, 6 or 12 month subscription or one-off boxes. The content of the boxes are a surprise. Dollibox uses your beauty profile to send you products most suited to you so it is important to complete the beauty profile quiz.
- A monthly subscription costs £10 per month (plus P&P). This is a rolling subscription, but you can cancel anytime.
- A 6 month subscription consists of a one-off payment of £54 (plus P&P), which is £9 per box.
- A 12 month subscription consists of a one-off payment of £102 (plus P&P), which is £8.50 per box
Every month you will receive 5/6 items with 2/3 being full size which is great value for money.
So lots and lots of lovely products this month. Some I had already tried before some not so much. But this what was in my box.
I wanted to start with my favourite product in the box, or maybe joint favourite and that is that Cougar Rich Honey Moisturiser. honey is a natural antiseptic with minor healing properties and skin irritations. Most treatments that have those elements totally dry the skin out but this one adds in moisture and keeps your skin super soft. My skin always feel so nourished after using it. I have just done my fifth application and am totally loving it.
I think the item that is my joint favourite would have to be the Palmers coconut Oil deep conditioning protein pack. This is a hair mask that you can either leave in over night or leave in for 15 minutes. This mask is so hydrating yet not greasy at all. Ok at first yes it’s reasonably oily and at first I was super skeptical but it washes out easily and leaves your air so soft and not oily at all.
The Seacret Facial Wipes were included in this box which we saw again for the second time this month. They smell gorgeous and I love that they use minerals and salts from the dead sea and the wipes themselves are super super soft. They are Oil based which I think is a bit of a shame as it doesn’t really seem to help combi skin. However as a makeup remover they are great and not as harsh as so many are out there.
Leopard cat eyebrow Palette is next up. Now instantly I knew this was going to be a problem. it is the same old problem with me. Blonde hair, blonde brows and palettes that just don’t light enough. Unfortunately I couldn’t trial this product properly as it was just too dark for me.
And lastly Focallure Face Blush. This is a super silky blush that I found to be actually a really cute side. The powder is reasonably pigmented and lasted really well. i may have to look into their other products. This particular blush comes in 11 different shades so you should find one that caters to your tones.
I also received the Mermaid Life necklace from Deborella Accessories which is super cute.
I really did try to love the box this month. On the whole it was great (as usual) but obviously there were a few things that I was would have been better. However, we haven’t seen a box like this for a while with Dollibox, that is not said critically but is said in a positive way. Sometimes it is good to be a little different and spice things up a little. I am intrigued as to what June’s box will behold.
