GLOSSYBOX | September 2017

Whenever my Glossybox lands on the mat there is an instant song…’ Glossybox is here… The Glossybox is here… The Glossybox is here…’ Its very catchy and I find myself humming it all day and even now whilst I write this post. I love receiving my box each month, it’s like that little present each time that is 100% a surprise.
September through to December are my favourite months of the year, maybe not when I was at school but definitely as an adult. I feel in love with autumn about five years ago when I started dating my partner. All those woodland walks, splashing in puddles with an 18 month old and hot chocolates by the fire! September for me is for new beginnings. I feel so refreshed this time of year and energized and that is what this months Glossybox is all about.

As you have probably gathered Glossybox is a beauty subscription service. Each month, it delivers a wide and varied selection of 5 beauty treats that include niche, high-end and emerging brands. I love this because you can get some good old faithful products yet try some things you would never normally buy. The latest trends are taken into account with every single box to bring you reusable and stylish boxes full of beauty essentials.
There are 4 different ways to subscribe to Glossybox starting from as low as £9.50! Choose between a monthly rollover box (cancel any time), a 3 month, 6 month or 12 month pre-paid subscription. Each month there is a little deal to be had on a freebie up for grabs so make sure you keep and eye out on social media.

On to the products offered in this months box. I was super excited when I opened the box, it really was jam-packed! So without further ado here is the contents;

Pixi By Petra Brow Tamer is something I’ve been eyeing up for a while if I’m honest. I love pixi products and a brow tamer has been something I have honestly been unsure of. I found the products worked really well to place those stray hairs back in the main brow without leaving the brow itself sticky or wet looking. With an RRP £12 I think the product is well worth the spend.

Cetaphil Mini Skincare Trio consist of a cleanser, face cream and a body lotion. The classic trio is one I have seen around for a while but have not been tempted to use if I am honest. The packaging just doesn’t shout quality to and fun but clinical and standard. Having said that I was more than willing to give it the benefit of the doubt. I was pleasantly surprised. If I am totally honest the products don’t wow me but at the same time they are to have as a quick hand bag sample or one to use when your favourite runs out. They do what they say on the bottle.

Teeth whitening is on everyone’s mind. Taylors 32 Flavoured Natural Whitening Toothpaste definitely stood out to me as it not something you normally see in a subscription box but it makes a nice change. The taste is fresh and minty which firstly surprised me as most whitening formula taste of bicarb or perfume. I have been using this product for around 6 days now and I haven’t noticed a huge difference but I think the product does work just slowly. For only £5 I would 100% re-purchase this product.

StyLondon Siligel Blender was the only product I wasn’t excited by. As you have read before I am not a fan of silicone blenders and this one hasn’t tamed me as yet. That is however totally personal preference. The quality of the blender feels very good though.

Lastly but not least is the Monu Skincare Firming Fiji Facial Oil. This contains plant oils which help to leave your skin firmer and physically brighter. With combi-skin it very difficult to use an oil that doesn’t leave your skin clogged. I recommend using just the finest bit of the this and it seem to work well. Only 1 or 2 drops needed, if that.

Plus in this month find a cheeky Kinder Beuno too.

Glossybox have really pulled together their September box and I absolutely loved it. They even catered to my pregnancy cravings with the sneaky Kinder Bueno. The products have been really tailored to the season and gives me the chance to start changing my skin routine again to fit the time of year. The products themselves were varied and gave me a chance to try some new brands along with some favourites. With three full size items this month is a real winner.  Next month you can be sure to either receive a Mermaid Collectors Edition box or a Unicorn Collectors Edition box.
