It is nearly Halloween and it is that time of the month when Dollibox hits the mat. I really didn’t know what to expect from the box before I opened it. Would it be Halloween themed, or autumn themed or even just a general box. This month Dollibox have focused on having a pampering time in. From lotions to candles this month Dollibox have you covered.

Dollibox is a monthly subscription box for £10 plus £3.90 p&p. You can either get a 3, 6 or 12 month subscription or one-off boxes. The content of the boxes are a surprise. Dollibox uses your beauty profile to send you products most suited to you so it is important to complete the beauty profile quiz.

  • A monthly subscription costs £10 per month (plus P&P). This is a rolling subscription, but you can cancel anytime.
  • A 6 month subscription consists of a one-off payment of £54 (plus P&P), which is £9 per box.
  • A 12 month subscription consists of a one-off payment of £102 (plus P&P), which is £8.50 per box

Every month you will receive 5/6 items with 2/3 being full size which is great value for money.

Octobers box saw the following products;

The very first product I saw bursting out of the box was Palmer’s Coconut Formula Hand cream. Like do I even need to review Palmer’s? All their products are amazing. We have seen three past Dolliboxes with palmer’s products in and although I love them and the quality I do like to see a bit of variation in brand. However, that aside, the hand cream was really nourishing and of course smelled wonderful.

Ok so Heng Fang Highlight Liquid! how pretty is that! Not hugely pigmented but easy to blend and and really pearly shade. I am surprisingly happy with his product. If I am honest the cheaper highlighters do not seem to be as good but this one was ok. I didn’t last all day and I think I had to reapply twice but I really liked it. For an evening out it is perfect. it actually retails at $13.99. I am not sure I would pay that much for it but if it were more $10 maybe I would.

Mermaid Bay Wax Melt was a slightly different product to receive. In June we saw a wax melt from a different brand so I was interested to see how this one compared. 100% cruelty free and hand poured I had high hopes. However, for me personally I hate the smell of bubblegum and this melt smelt so strongly of it. So for that reason I didn’t even use the product. That is totally personal for me and Id be happy to try a different scent.

Now I had heard super good things about the Montagne Jeunesse Face Mask. Everyone was raving about how good they were so I was super excited to see one in the box this month. This is a natural face mask that helps to peel away dead skin. I wasn’t a huge fan of the smell, it was very fruity but I did think the face mask did a good job. If I am honest I have used better masks but it was ok.

Patisserie de Bain Cranberries & Cream Hand & Body Lotion literally smells divine. It left my skin feeling super soft and non sticky. I think maybe for the RRP of £4.99 I think it is a little steep at the price but at maybe £3.00 I’d be more than happy to purchase more.

Lastly, the last product I tried out out of the box is the OSIS Session Label Hairspray. I know this is weird but I really liked the smell of it, most sprays smell like hairspray. They seem to all smell the same but this one actually smells nice. This is a super dry fix spray which did leave my hair with that crunchy feel but it held it in place really well on a really blustery day. Although this retails for a little more than a normal hair spray I would definitely pay the extra for that nice smell and strong hold.

Wow Dollibox what a variety this month! Although some of the products we have seen or have seen similar before, as a whole box it was pretty impressive!
