Glossybox | December 2017
December is finally here and it has bought the chillier weather with it, and in some parts of the UK they have snow. Christmas it just a matter of weeks away and Glossybox has the party season sussed out totally. The Mince Pies and Starry Skies themed box is here and is wowing everyone. The dark mysterious inside feels like it is hidden with secrets and filled with wonder. This month they have teamed up with Dusty Boy Stationery to offer a really wowing box.
If you are new to Glossybox then here is a little info. As you have probably gathered Glossybox is a beauty subscription service. Each month, it delivers a wide and varied selection of 5 beauty treats that include niche, high-end and emerging brands. I love this because you can get some good old faithful products yet try some things you would never normally buy.
The latest trends are taken into account with every single box (you can see past boxes here) to bring you reusable and stylish boxes full of beauty essentials.
There are 4 different ways to subscribe to Glossybox starting from as low as £9.50! Choose between a monthly rollover box (cancel any time), a 3 month, 6 month or 12 month pre-paid subscription. Each month there is a little deal to be had on a freebie up for grabs so make sure you keep and eye out on social media.
So this months box included all full size items making it amazing value for money.
The most beautiful item in the box is the Profusion Runway Eye Collection. This is a 6 shadow palette with some seriously beautiful shades. 6 highly pigmented but very bendable shades that are so perfect for Decembers parties. Not only is this a great shadow palette but if you wet the shadow a little it creates a lovely eyeliner.
Naobay Equilibria Gel to Milk Cleanser is an organic and natural formula that gently cleanses the skin without all the harsh chemicals. So this is a little different from normal cleaners as when it comes into contact with water it turns into a milk consistency. I really love this product, it is so soft on the skin and so calming.
Laqa & Co Cloud Lips is next out the box and boy is this one creamy lip product. It doesn’t dry out the lips at all and it literally felt like I was using lip balm all night. A little goes a long way though, with only 2 swipes across my lips they were covered. The shades available are so pretty and I was super happy to have this one in the box.
Now Steve Laurant Precision Tip Eyeliner is not a brand I have heard of before. Firstly can we just admire the rose gold/ bronze like packaging! It is so pretty!!!! The eyeliner has a felt tip like applicator that gently glides across the lid. I am always skeptical with felt tip like liners because they always seem to end up close to my brow after just a few hours. This one seems to be holding quite well after just 4 hours so fingers crossed with a whole day it works just like this too.
I love a good teeth whitener and this month Glossybox added Ecodenta Extra Black Whitening Toothpaste with Black Charcoal and Teavigo to the box. One thing that has to be right with toothpaste is the taste, if it doesn’t taste nice I am not going to use it. This one I actually quite like and have used 3 days in a row. I wouldn’t say the progress has wowed me but with perseverance I think they could be onto a winner.
So overall the box contents has been amazing.
Can we just take a step back and look how pretty the box is please!!
The whole box really impressed me and I really really loved it. The variety of products along with the choice of product gets a ten out of ten from me. The box is lovely and contents is extremely fitting to the time of year and party season. It is classy and the theme is so apt compared to past boxes.
