Dreary January is finally passed the halfway point and Christmas seems like a distant memory. January is seeing detoxes left right and centre along with fresh starts and resets. Glossybox has curated a box based on all of these things. Makeup, nails, skin care… they’ve totally got you sorted this month and it really is the perfect all rounder box.
If you are new to Glossybox then here is a little info. As you have probably gathered Glossybox is a beauty subscription service. Each month, it delivers a wide and varied selection of 5 beauty treats that include niche, high-end and emerging brands. I love this because you can get some good old faithful products yet try some things you would never normally buy.
The latest trends are taken into account with every single box (you can see past boxes here) to bring you reusable and stylish boxes full of beauty essentials.
There are 4 different ways to subscribe to Glossybox starting from as low as £9.50! Choose between a monthly rollover box (cancel any time), a 3 month, 6 month or 12 month pre-paid subscription. Each month there is a little deal to be had on a freebie up for grabs so make sure you keep and eye out on social media.
So finally, here we go…. box contents;
The very first thing in the box that caught my eye was the Nail Medic Nail and Cuticle Energizer. The liquid is half pink and half purple and no matter how much you shake it…it just doesn’t merge, it’s so pretty. So this little beauty is a three step process towards anti-ageing. Combining oils and vitamins works to maintain healthy nails. Obviously I have only been using this for a week to ten days so I can’t say if it actually works but so far so good.
Boots Beauty Supplements are the biggest in the box. 60 supplements to help you skin from the inside. Packed with 19 nutritious essentials this box requires a daily dose fo 2 soft gel capsules. Being pregnant I haven’t been able to give these a go just yet but I am holding onto them for after pregnancy when my skin will desperately need it.
The other stunning product in the box is the Dr Botanicals Moroccan Rose Superfood Facial Oil. This oil is a light pink rose in colour and smells amazing. Packed full of skin enriching minerals and vitamins which work together to rejuvenate, renew and protect your complexion. Simply add three drops onto your fingertips and gently rub into your skin. It helps to leave it super hydrated and a great protection from free radicals.
The Evelyn Iona Cosmetics Green Tea Primer is nothing but a bloody good primer to put it plainly. Described to ‘nourish and protect complexion, reduce the appearance of fine lines and large pores and help makeup stay put for longer’. It is cruelty free and paraben free and I quite literally cannot get enough of it! It is packed with green tea extract and avocado oil and sits so well on the skin. Could this be THE primer replacement on my makeup table? After a weeks use I want to give it a little more time if I am going to make that bold statement but it is looking good.
Last but not least is the Alicia Cream Blush. Rich in organic bee pollen to nourish the skin it really does leave it super soft, however, for me I will also prefer a powder but that is just personal preference.
I love that this box was vibrant and bright and ready for the new year. I needed a bit of colour in my life after the grey days have become me, so in that respect Glossybox have hit that nail on the head. Although my new year resolutions are kind of starting when the baby arrives I feel this box would have been perfect if I had started on January 1st. That is not a criticism as I have loved the products and it is totally setting me up and getting ready for February. They say January is a trial month anyway so….!
