Look Fantastic | March 2018
March has come in with a bang… and a little sleep deprived, but Look Fantastic has come to brighten my day. March’s theme is ‘Beauty Empowered’ which is perfectly fitting as 8th March was International Women’s Day. Beauty comes from both the inside and out. You could be the most beautiful person in the world to look at but you can be the ugliest person at the same time if you are vile!
Look Fantastic’s box is going to help you out this month from head to toe!
The Look Fantastic box offers a selection of beauty products for a reasonable price. A variety of Full Size and travel sample size products are included each month with the average subscriber receiving around 6 products plus a copy of the most recent Elle magazine. From hair care, skin care, makeup and other body products, Look Fantastic really opens up the options for beauty lovers out there. You can subscribe for 1,3,6 or 12 months on a rolling subscription. Subscriptions start from £13.00 including free delivery. Click here to see a couple of past boxes I have received.
Back in December I decided to cancel my subscription to Look Fantastic after a disappointing box (review here), so when they contacted me asking if I would like to try March’s I was a little apprehensive. Could be another boring box? Here is what is included this month.
This months box includes 6 products.
When I initially saw the Skinmono Foot Mask, I saw the word ‘mask’ I prepped my face and sat down to relax. I opened the packet to find out it was actually a foot mask?! WTF!
Any who I washed my feet and placed in the socks for 30 mins. The mask is a deep conditioning treatment that contains Shea butter and olive oil to soften all the tough skin on your feet. Luckily, I have never been one to have any hard skin on my feet so I felt I couldn’t take full advantage of the mask. However, It did leave my feet super soft.
Doucce Freematic Eye Shadow Duo is a product I haven’t used before or, to be honest, even heard of. These two shades (78 Kate & 81 Tenley) compliment each other beautifully. They are really easy to blend and reasonably highly pigmented, however, I don’t feel they lasted as long as I would have liked. Within a few hours the shadow had pretty much vanished from my eyes. Maybe they would be better with a primer.
Renu Advanced Anti Ageing Flash Relax Mask is not something I’d normally use and I was a little disappointed to see in the box. With this mask simply massage into skin and leave for 10 mins before rinsing. It did leave my skin soft but I didn’t really see much improvement if I am honest.
Skin Chemists is a brand I have used quite a lot. From bee venom to snail secretion… I’ve tried the weird and the wacky but one product I hadn’t tried yet is the Rose Quartz Lip Plump. One thing I love about this plumper is the Vitamin E element meaning even if my lips are cracked this product is going to help!
You can either use as a lip gloss or use under a lipstick. I used it under a lipstick and my lips did look a little plumper and it even helped my lipstick stay on a little better.
Omorovicza Balancing Moisturizer Is a moisturiser that minimises pores and brightens complexion. It is great for oily and combi skin and is also a makeup primer.
I found it didn’t really minimise pores but did leave my skin really hydrated without the oily residue so many moisturisers leave it with.
I love using oval face brushes for contouring it makes it so much easier. Stylondon Oval Face Brush is another beaut to add to the collection. It glides easily down the cheek and is super easy to clean.
This months box overall I found to be actually surprisingly good. I liked most of the products and I have discovered more from brands I currently like. This seems to be exactly what is the aim of most subscription boxes- a few discoveries, a few eye openers and some testing of the waters. I gotta say Look Fantastic have done it this month and have left me pretty impressed.
This is one box I am going to recommend this month!
