Glossybox | March 2018
How is it March 19th already! A whole month since Evelyn arrived and the wondrous March Glossybox has been sitting on the side for the last week screaming at me to open it! With all the snow that happened earlier in the month etc my first box got lost somewhere between HQ and the front door, and thankfully, the glorious lovelies over at customer service sent me a replacement box! (They are definitely angels)!
This month sees a fresh breath of fresh air in the form of Glossybox’s Spring ‘out with the old, in with the new’ theme. This month is all about a Spring renewal, detoxing your beauty regime and creating a magical recipe for beauty sleep.
If you are new to Glossybox then here is a little info. As you have probably gathered Glossybox is a beauty subscription service. Each month, it delivers a wide and varied selection of 5 beauty treats that include niche, high-end and emerging brands. I love this because you can get some good old faithful products yet try some things you would never normally buy.
The latest trends are taken into account with every single box (you can see past boxes here) to bring you reusable and stylish boxes full of beauty essentials.
There are 4 different ways to subscribe to Glossybox starting from as low as £9.50! Choose between a monthly rollover box (cancel any time), a 3 month, 6 month or 12 month pre-paid subscription. Each month there is a little deal to be had on a freebie up for grabs so make sure you keep and eye out on social media.
There are 12 different products you could receive this month. (!) I think this may be the biggest selection yet. Here is what I received;
Everyone will receive a Mudmasky Sleep Repair Renewal Nourishing Mask. This is an overnight mask using only raw and natural ingredients that promises to hydrate, smooth and soothe your skin. It smells absolutely divine and does exactly what it says on the bottle. My skin felt so much smoother after using and super soft too. I was pretty impressed by the product. It does have an RRP of £61 which I think is a little steep though.
The next product I pulled out the box was La Theorie Des Volcans Noir Eternue Youth Potion. This is a product I have seen before in the February 2017 box. This vegan and cruelty free face scrub and mask is floral scented and very gentle. This scrub is enriched with anti-ageing ingredients (big thumbs up) and also plump’s and soothes the skin.
I found the texture oddly thin but you do not need to use much meaning the whole 30ml bottle is definitely going to last a while. The pink mash gradually turns grey as it draws out impurities so you can really watch it works its magic.
Another lipstick to add to the collection comes next. I did kind of roll my eyes when I saw ANOTHER LIPSTICK, however, I was quite shocked at how much I loved the shade. This is the Oryza Beauty Warm Nude Lipstick. It is a really strong nude shade that lasts quite a few hours. It is a semi matte finish that I found to sit really nicely on the lip.
The Universal Beauty Secret Flush is another product I have already received before through a different box. The blush is silky and smooth but unfortunately not really my shade so I feel I cannot give this product a true review.
Lastly Is the Figs & Rouge Soft Focus Pore Perfect HD+. This is a serum designed to reduce the appearance of pores. After using it for 5 days now I can’t say I have seen a difference as yet but it may take a little longer to see results.
The box as a whole, I thought, was perfect. It really did shake up the routine and wow me. I was a little disappointed to see some familiar faces but the other three products are new discoveries that I was extremely happy about. Glossybox seem to mostly get better month on month and I am super happy I get to see them month after month.
