Simplifying Skincare

I love a lavish skincare routine! From Snail Secretion to Bee Venom to Aloe Vera…. I have tried so many products. Yes, a lot of them work really well, a lot of the do not. Since having Evelyn my skin care routine has gone out the window. All those products are currently gathering dust and have made way for the basics.

My priorities have changed and my skin care is unfortunately not one of them right now.

Has my face suffered? Yes, a little.

Do I care? Not one bit.

So what have I been using to keep the oil levels even and the spots at bay?

Cleanser

Everyone needs a cleanser in their life. I am always surprised after removing makeup of an evening, washing it and then looking at the cotton wool after cleansing to find dirt still! Like WTF!? how is that even possible? It just shows how much day to day life penetrates our skin.

I have been using Clean and Clear Deep Cleansing Lotion ever since Evelyn birth. Some days I don’t leave the house and the makeup table remains unused but I always make sure this is swiped across my face. It simply restores your face back to a natural balance of oils etc.

Moisturiser

Gotta keep those wrinkles at bay! Tiredness and stress makes the lines worse so every morning a light moisturiser is smothered on my face. I use In Transit Camera Close-up all in one from Thisworks.

I was first introduced to this product by Glossybox in their March 2017 box.

This formula contains caffeine to help boost tired skin, yet also plumps and brightens to give you a real happy glow. Which is exactly what I need right now!

Eye Cream

Balance me Wonder Eye Cream has been saving my life recently.

This wonderful cream reduces dark shadow, reduces puffiness, reduced the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles and hydrates the eye area to protect you from premature ageing. Have I sold you on it yet???

This product has been a Godsend under my eyes.

The bags have been so dark so between this and a concealer I can cheat myself to a un-sleep deprived look. This product I recommend for absolutely anyone especially tired mummies.

Don’t be too hard on yourself if you had put your normal routine to one side or given up… start again, from scratch… start with the basics and go from there.
