Losing the baby weight | My Weight loss Journey
I really didn’t know whether I was going to do this post or not, I mean it’s just another one of those weight loss blog pieces that everyone will either criticise or moan at right.
Well tbh I don’t care.
By writing this blog piece I am being open and honest and hopefully I’ll end up helping someone or inspiring someone but most of all I’ll be more likely to achieve my own goals.
So with Evelyn I put on so much weight. 4 and a half stone to be exact. Most of it was water, seriously- I know most people say that but it really was!
Evelyn is now 2 months old and I have finally been signed off by the doctor to exercise so it’s time to start crackalacking!
I have 2 stone left to lose and I have until the end of July to do it- 14 weeks to be precise. That means 28lbs to lose in 14 weeks gives a feasible 2 lb a week weight loss minimum to achieve it. 2lbs is actually what is classed as a safe weight loss each week which works out well but If I can do a few extra certain weeks then it’ll help as I know towards the end it’ll be tough. Which should even it all out.
I think eventually I’ll post before and after shots but not just yet, the world is not ready to see this belly yet.
This week I started Sunday evening PT sessions. 1 hour of gruelling HIIT, weights, boxing, cardio, planks… you name it we are doing it. 2 days later my abs are sore, my knees are shot and my legs are still like jelly- it must be working right?!
Between these weekly sessions I am trying to walk at least 5 miles a day. So far I am probably achieving that 5 out of 7 days which I don’t think is too bad.
Also healthy eating (see some receipts that I have been using here).
Booooo…. say hello to salads again. Im not just eating salads don’t worry I am just trying to cut out the crap and eat better and more healthy. Generally we eat quite reasonably. Like we will only have one bad meal a week really whether it be pizza or take out but that has stopped too.
Dinners like, stuffed peppers or chicken with veg or (more recently) my sister does a mean cous cous veg medley thing- I’ll definitely be seeing more of her !
So eating healthy, weekly PT and walking, in the next few weeks I want to try and do 2 PT sessions a week. I am basing my diet on 1500kcal a day as I am still doing night feeds so I think this will be enough (any fitness people out there want to confirm this is ok would be great).
Any other tips would be hugely appreciated. I will be uploading by journey as I go so keep an eye out for the moaning posts!
