I am not afraid to say that I am a bit of a ‘Daydreamer’. May’s Glossybox has hit the mat and this is the theme for this beautiful month. The box design this month is beautiful! Soft Pastel hues are a bloggers dream and this box has it spot on. It makes me want to skip around a field or go to a musical festival. The box is perfectly placed for May.
This months box is all about relaxing in paradise and it includes cruelty free products, relaxation helping hands and even a tea bag to help you really put your feet up.
If you are new to Glossybox then here is a little info. As you have probably gathered Glossybox is a beauty subscription service. Each month, it delivers a wide and varied selection of 5 beauty treats that include niche, high-end and emerging brands. I love this because you can get some good old faithful products yet try some things you would never normally buy.
The latest trends are taken into account with every single box (you can see past boxes here) to bring you reusable and stylish boxes full of beauty essentials.
There are 4 different ways to subscribe to Glossybox starting from as low as £9.50! Choose between a monthly rollover box (cancel any time), a 3 month, 6 month or 12 month pre-paid subscription. Each month there is a little deal to be had on a freebie up for grabs so make sure you keep and eye out on social media.
There are 6 items in the months box which includes a We Are Tea Tea bag sample. You will either receive the Earl Grey or Sleep bag.
The Maria Nila shampoo and conditioner pair are my favourite product in the box. It is a Vegan shampoo and conditioner that is sulphate and paragon free. It leaves your hair frizz free and mega soft plus reduces the loss of colour associated loss that happens from over washing and styling.
Personally I found this to be quite heavy on my hair. I didn’t find it to leave it light and fluffy like my usual shampoo. Although it does smell pretty nice.
Now I am not a fan of foot soak, to be honest I don’t like feet. This box had one though so… time to crack out these toes and give it a go. Just For Feet’s Luxury Jelly Foot Soak is a powder that when it touches water turns to a gel- yes I am being deadly serious!
Then use the second step to turn it back to water, super weird! I have never seen anything like it. I didn’t really like the smell If I am honest and like I say I not a fan of feet anything so for me this was never going to be highly rated because the process for me is not enjoyable but that is just me personally.
Kueshi’s Makeup remover was not to try out of the box. A bright blue bottle which to me is always a little disturbing to be fair. Nothing really is naturally blue. The remover is enriches with soft oils which cleanse the skin but for a combi skin I didn’t feel it worked well.
Lastly in the box is Trifle Cosmetic Praline Palette. A 6 eyeshadow palette with some intense shades. The powders are quite highly pigmented and quite creamy when applied. The shades aren’t too my taste and skin tone however that being said the actual quality is very good. I really like the palette and would love to try it again in different shades.
Overall, although there were not many items I hugely liked in the box, I did think the box worked well and Glossybox have curated something that works well with the theme. Id have liked to see a facial skincare item in there to really top it off but the box in itself was quite varied.
Sneak Peak into June’s box shows a Bronzer from Laritzy Cosmetics.
