The iconic pink box is back this month and Glossybox have hit the ground running. September is brining a whole bunch of fun for Glossybox and this box is just the start.
So this month I have got a little surprise for you at the end of this post… (continue reading to see what). September has bought such an exciting month and one thing that I was definitely genuinely excited about is the contents of this months Glossybox.
If you are new to Glossybox then here is a little info. As you have probably gathered Glossybox is a beauty subscription service. Each month, it delivers a wide and varied selection of 5 beauty treats that include niche, high-end and emerging brands. I love this because you can get some good old faithful products yet try some things you would never normally buy.
The latest trends are taken into account with every single box (you can see past boxes here) to bring you reusable and stylish boxes full of beauty essentials.
There are 4 different ways to subscribe to Glossybox starting from as low as £9.50! Choose between a monthly rollover box (cancel any time), a 3 month, 6 month or 12 month pre-paid subscription. Each month there is a little deal to be had on a freebie up for grabs so make sure you keep and eye out on social media.
September’s box holds the title of ‘Back to School’, a box to help you start the new beauty school year. It contains 6 products which will help you prep and organise your month ready to hit the ground running. The 6 products are amazing hand bag essentials that you can quickly grab and use whilst on the go.
No… I am not heading back to school/ university and nothing much has changed with my routine but handbag essentials are always… well…essential!!!
Back on track… this month’s items are;
The one and only Beauty Pro Detoxifying Bubble Mask with Activated Charcoal. If you don’t like face masks who even are you ?!?! This foaming sheet mask is one to keep on your shelf for sure. It uses activated Charcoal and a shed tonne of different fruit extracts to detoxify your skin, refining pores and reducing oil. Totally cruelty free and at only £4.95 RRP it is worth getting 10!
Next up we have Daily concept Your Facial Mini Scrubber. I never knew you could make a scrubber out of soy! Yep you heard that right. Made using Soy and natural cotton which means it is great for super sensitive skin or anyone with allergies. It has a cute little pocket which you slide your fingers into too making it super easy to use. At £8.85 each I think it is a little steep for what it is, I think I would be happier paying closer to £5 but it is still a very good product and one I am very happy Glossybox included.
Dun Dun Dun… It’s an eyebrow product. This is Bang Beauty Eyebrow Cream. I didn’t get my hopes up for this product just because I really struggle to find the right brow products (as you all know) and this one came in brown for me so I couldn’t use it. However, This is a brow cream that has a velvety consistency that comes with an angled brush to make it easy to apply. I think, judging by the size of the pot, the product would last quite a long time. It RRP’s for £16.80- would love to know people’s thoughts on this one before I jump in and purchase the blonde shade to try.
Baby wipes are my life right now so seeing Wet Ones Be Fresh Antibacterial Wipes in the box meant a sneaky grin snuck across my face. No longer do i need to dive into the change bag when coming off the tube. These are in a super small pouch and kill 99.9% of germs. For a 12 pack it is only £1.19 and you can also use them on kids too!!! WWIIINNN!!
The next item I have been wanting to try for a while and that is the Grow Gorgeous scalp detox. Shampoo’s can really build up on your hair and scalp so every now and again it’s good to have a good stiff down and this product is perfect for the job. Pomegranate enzymes and natural castor oil remove impurities that block roots, it is totally vegan friendly and cutely free and you can use it once or twice a week. This is an item that so many of us miss from our regime and it really is key to having a healthy scalp. RRP £28 for 190ml or you can buy a mini 50ml for £7.37.
The last product in the box is Karl Lagerfeld + Model Co Lip Liner in Rosewood. I have already tried a selection of the Karl Lagerfeld collab products and they are pretty good. I love the shade of this one and when I tried to wash it off my hand I really had to scrub it. It is a creamy pencil that applies really smoothly too. RRP £25.
Overall I was mega impressed with the box. Apart from the brow product, which can’t be helped, all of these items are getting used pretty much everyday since they arrived. This box i think is full of character and a real mile stone box for Glossybox. Every now and again they release a box which is just a tick tick tick for me and replenishes all my needs and puts a smile on my face. This is one of those boxes.
SO my little surprise is…. drum roll please…. GLOSSYBOX ARE RELEASING AN ADVENT CALENDAR!!! DUN DUN DUUUNNNNN!!!!
I am 10000% deadly serious.
Worth over £300 it will retails for £75 for glossybox subscribers or £99 for non- subscribers and will feature some big names such as Nars, Real Techniques and BareMinerals.
I’m like super excited for this one. It is a gorgeous looking calendar too. One last thing… it includes 25 items, 16 of which are full size products!!! Pre-order from September (for GLOSSYBOX subscribers) and available to buy on general sale in October.
