Billlyyyy Bonneess…. Trick or treeaaatt! (if you haven’t seen Muppets treasure island that joke is wasted on you and you should be ashamed!)
Trick or Treat season is here!!!! Yes, it is October, somehow (!?), and Halloween will very very soon be upon us. The chilly evenings have already started and nearly all the leaves have been blown from their branches. All of this can only mean one thing.
It’s time for Glossyboxs’ Halloween Trick or Treat Edition.
If you are new to Glossybox then here is a little info. As you have probably gathered Glossybox is a beauty subscription service. Each month, it delivers a wide and varied selection of 5 beauty treats that include niche, high-end and emerging brands. I love this because you can get some good old faithful products yet try some things you would never normally buy.
The latest trends are taken into account with every single box (you can see past boxes here) to bring you reusable and stylish boxes full of beauty essentials.
There are 4 different ways to subscribe to Glossybox starting from as low as £9.50! Choose between a monthly rollover box (cancel any time), a 3 month, 6 month or 12 month pre-paid subscription. Each month there is a little deal to be had on a freebie up for grabs so make sure you keep and eye out on social media.
This beautiful beautiful box is brimming with 4… yes 4 FULL SIZE products and just one sample size. The box is worth a big £68, that makes it pretty much 7 times its value! WOOAAHHH! The Glossybox trick or treat edition is shaping up to be a huge feature.
So if you read last months review you will know that every box was going to contain Illamasqua Antimatter Lipstick in one of two shades.
My Treat box contained the ‘Nebula’ shade which is a bright Barbie pink and I couldn’t love it more if I tried. I will say it is definitely not an every day colour but for certain outfits, yes, it’s a massive thumbs up.
The one item in the box that really really caught my eye was the MUA Makeup Academy Luxe Strobe and Highlighter Kit. It is a subtle yet very pigmented highlighter that has left my cheekbones glowing. It is a 2 in 1 compact, 1 is a powder and 1 is a cream so you literally have the best of both worlds at your finger tips.
Going to be honest Ive always been a bit scared to add highlight to the bridge of my nose or cupids brow… maybe it is time for a change.
We also have a Sleep Makeup Palette. I received the Oh So Special Palette which is one of a few you may receive I believe. This particular palette it filled with warm tones which is great for halloween makeup and accentuating that blood, gore and bruising. I haven’t actually used it yet but with past palettes they have always been pretty good.
For me the next item is a good old faithful and one I have quite a few of. It is Thisworks In Transit Camera Closeup. I have had a few of these recently and in the past and they have always proven to be a great hydration fix. You can use them as a moisturiser or as a makeup primer.
Last and by no means least the last item is the Luna By Luna Cosmetics Translucent Powder. I am waiting to try this one out for halloween. It is literally going to complete my look and I can not wait!
The whole box has been tailored towards getting you ready for your Halloween parties and I am so ready for this years! The box is great value for money and has a whole array of makeup products. If you are not out partying this Halloween and more of a skincare person maybe this box isn’t for you. Containing 4 makeup products and one makeup/skincare product it does not offer a huge variety BUT in the right hands is an absolute winner.
Sneak peak for November …. Huda Beauty’s Full Size Liquid Matte Lipstick.
