Well January went by in a blink of an eye. For me it was the most un-Januaryist January of my life. and here we are, the first week in February already. Life is passing me by here and scaring the crap out of me! I have a 1 year old this month god damn it!
A new month means…. a new box. January’s Glossybox sold out so incredibly quick I don’t think even any influencer’s got a look in, which is obviously incredible but it was sorely missed. However, February’s box is here with the theme of ‘It’s All About Love’ (of course). If they were trying to make you full in love they’ve done it with this box.
There is even something in there for the man in your life… talk about ManPoints!
If you are new to Glossybox then here is a little info. As you have probably gathered Glossybox is a beauty subscription service. Each month, it delivers a wide and varied selection of 5 beauty treats that include niche, high-end and emerging brands. I love this because you can get some good old faithful products yet try some things you would never normally buy.
The latest trends are taken into account with every single box (you can see past boxes here) to bring you reusable and stylish boxes full of beauty essentials.
There are 4 different ways to subscribe to Glossybox starting from as low as £9.50! Choose between a monthly rollover box (cancel any time), a 3 month, 6 month or 12 month pre-paid subscription. Each month there is a little deal to be had on a freebie up for grabs so make sure you keep and eye out on social media.
oh oh oh! Just look at all those products!
This month sees 7 glorious products. Also in the box is a voucher for 10% off Bloom & Wild one of my favourite online florists and a very much welcomed extra!
So what’s in the box…
First off is the Huda Beauty Lip Contour pencil which I have already heard so many good things about. It is a full size pencil, of which, you will receive one of two shades; Venus or Flirt. I absolutely loved this pencil and it totally compliments the Huda Beauty Liquid Matte Lipstick in ‘Girlfriend’ sent in the November edition. This RRP’s for £16, baring in mind the box only costs around a tenner you’re already quids in!
Next up is a full size Nails Inc Varnish and of course for February it has to be the brightest red they ever did find. I am a sucker for red nails (as you can tell in the pictures) and this will add to my extensive collection nicely.
Luxie Beauty have included their Onyx Noir Small Contouring Face Brush 512. It is an ultra soft handcrafted brush to use to really sculpt that perfect look. Another brush to add to the collection does not excite me but the brush itself is a very good brush.
Now we have seen this item before way back in the July 2018 box. It is the Regenerate Enamel Science Advanced Toothpaste. I wasn’t a huge fan of it then as I think it has a real Bi-card taste to it but since pregnancy all my tastes have totally changed so willing to give this one another go.
I cannot get enough of face masks at the moment. The fact that I am so tired all the time I guess counts for it. But you just get on with it and man up! Vitamasques MultiVitamin Mask has been a much needed item in my life and for it appear in this months box I instantly knew the legends at Glossybox are looking out for me! Retailing at £5 per mask I think it is pretty cheap. Th mask takes you to 20 minutes of pure heaven, just think how much you’d pay for a 20min facial in a salon!
Last and by no means least, included is Megler Alien Fusion Parfum and Alien Man Fusion. A little treat for you and a little treat for him. Don’t let him say you never spoil him with this beaut!
I am pretty much a fan of every single item in the box except the brush. But that is not down to the brand at all and is simply because I have a brush for every single product you can imagine at 5 different angles suitable for any skin colour, tone or shape. I feel like this box has been tailored personally to me. I know that it actually hasn’t but it was exactly what I needed in my life right now.
