March has arrived and with it a hint of Spring in the air. The Daffodils are starting to bloom and it makes me so freakin excited for the summer.
Glossybox have released their march box and with it a theme of all themes. The Empowerment Edition. This months edit brings a selection of 5 different products that will inspire you to chase your dreams.
Each of the products have been sourced from Extraordinary people. ‘From a makeup company that was single- handedly founded by a woman with a vision, to a natural label that encourages people to take control of their skincare.’
If you are new to Glossybox then here is a little info. As you have probably gathered Glossybox is a beauty subscription service. Each month, it delivers a wide and varied selection of 5 beauty treats that include niche, high-end and emerging brands. I love this because you can get some good old faithful products yet try some things you would never normally buy.
The latest trends are taken into account with every single box (you can see past boxes here) to bring you reusable and stylish boxes full of beauty essentials.
There are 4 different ways to subscribe to Glossybox starting from as low as £9.50! Choose between a monthly rollover box (cancel any time), a 3 month, 6 month or 12 month pre-paid subscription. Each month there is a little deal to be had on a freebie up for grabs so make sure you keep and eye out on social media.
So what’s in the box;
First up we have Bella Pierre Kiss Proof Lip Creme. You will receive one of four shades available. The texture of the lip creme is really smooth and super creamy. They are really thick too to offer full coverage and long wear. It says it dries instantly but I think it is more of a dries in 30 seconds properly type of thing. I wouldn’t put it on and then go and kiss my husband straight away.
That takes us nicely into the next product, BYBI Plumber Lip Balm. The product is nourishing and creamy. It contains peppermint and capsicum to plump the lips giving a natural plumping effect. RRP £9 (check out how pretty the inside of the box is.)
The next beauty item out the box is Laritzy Cosmetics Dew Pot. I have never tried this product before but was excited to see how blendable it actually was. The product is a creamy highlighter that offers a dewy radiance and claims to last all day. Coming in at £15.30 I think it is a fair price for the product. The highlighter blends really well when a small amount is used so do not cake it on.
Essence Cosmetics is a slightly cheaper brand that has been included in the box this month. They have included their Glow By Go Illuminating Setting Spray. It contains fine light-reflecting particles that will give you a real glowing complexion all the time whilst setting your makeup too. At just a cheap £3.30 this is one that is quick and cheap to try.
Lastly we have a hair product which seems a little odd to have included since all the rest are makeup items. However, this is one from Toni & Guy. The Illuminating Hair Perfume is literally what it says, a perfume for your hair. It smells relatively nice but for £7.99 for a 50ml it seems a little bit of a pointless item. If you’re like me when normal perfume goes on in the morning it gets sprayed everywhere anyway.
For March I was hoping for a slightly better box. The products are good, but for me, I probably will only continually use 1 or 2 products.
Glossybox have released a stunning Mothers Day Limited Edition box which subscribers can get for £25 and Non Subscribers for £30.00. This is an absolute bargain with some MASSIVE Brands in the box. Click here to order now.
