Glossybox | April 2019
The Lambs are ‘Baa-ing’, the Daffodils are blooming and the sky is raining…. it can only mean one thing… April is here.
April is all about things coming into bloom. I love this time of year, it holds such a hope and promise of the summer to come. Glossybox have designed the most beautiful vibrant boxes this month. yep, boxES. There is one of two possible designs to receive and each of them are just as stunningly bright. Subscribers will receive either a “fruity” or “floral” themed box. I was lucky enough to receive the Floral themed box.
If you are new to Glossybox then here is a little info. As you have probably gathered Glossybox is a beauty subscription service. Each month, it delivers a wide and varied selection of 5 beauty treats that include niche, high-end and emerging brands. I love this because you can get some good old faithful products yet try some things you would never normally buy.
The latest trends are taken into account with every single box (you can see past boxes here) to bring you reusable and stylish boxes full of beauty essentials.
There are 4 different ways to subscribe to Glossybox starting from as low as £9.50! Choose between a monthly rollover box (cancel any time), a 3 month, 6 month or 12 month pre-paid subscription. Each month there is a little deal to be had on a freebie up for grabs so make sure you keep and eye out on social media.
The box arrived and it was surprisingly heavy. I wondered what on earth could make this box have so much weight to it. Opening the box, in true glossy style, you are greeted with a bright tissue paper and bow to seal the contents just a little longer.
Inside the box is a gorgeous array of six bright products. This month, here is what you will receive;
Jeanne Arthes Let Your Dreams Blossom EDP. This, unsurprisingly, smells just like Spring but in a good way. The perfume packs a floral punch but in a subtle but ‘I’m still wearing perfume’ kinda way. This is not a brand I have come across before but definitely one I’ll be keeping an eye out for in the future. A full size product that a lot of people are going to fall in love with.
Who doesn’t love Original Source! Come on! If you haven’t tried their Mint Green Shower Gel who even are you. The fresh semi burn as you apply it is enough to wake you up every single time. Burns aside this month we have got a full size bottle of the Water Infusions Raspberry & Rose Shower Gel. I love Original Source and as cheap as the brand is I love it and am very happy to see this in the box and to try one out that I have not used before. This is also one of two you may receive. Apple and Melon is also out there to spice things up a little but again I am much more of a floral girl and happy to have this one.
Another full size product you will be receiving is the Dr PawPaw Hot Pink Balm. It is a lip balm with a tint of pink. I’m not a huge lip balm user (thankfully) but the colour is quite pretty and one I will definitely reach to when needed.
Dr Botanicals Pomegranate Superfood Regenerating Sleeping Mask is the only product that is not full size, however, it is a deluxe mini rather than sample. The product is an Antioxidant-rich pomegranate mask that nourishes thirsty, dull skin while you sleep – so you can wake up glowy and hydrated. Even for this 30ml bottle you’ll have to pay pretty much £15 for so another reason to shop the box this month!
The Soaper Duper Body Butter was definitely the weightiest product in the box. You may receive Zingy Ginger or Fruity Green Tuberose. I got the Fruity Green Tuberose and it smells like Spring to me. At only £10 for the tub there is your box subscription paid for right there. The body butter is a great consistency and not too thick and has a generous fill too. Very much happier to receive this one than the zingy ginger to be honest.
Last but not least a little something extra is in the box this month and that’s Palmers Natural Fusions Chia Seed & Argan Oil Hair Mask. It deeply repairs and adds hydration and one I will be taking on Honeymoon with me at the beginning of May.
The boxes this month are packed, full to the brim (literally), of glorious smelling, stunning looking, bright products that have some slighter higher end price tags attached to them. The box is worth over £50 this month and one that I think is very very worth it. All the products will be used and the added extra just has to make you smile. I feel that Glossybox have asked Spring what he wants in the box this month and this is what he has come up with.
Another beautiful box Glossybox. Well done!
