Glossybox | July 2019
With July hitting the deck with blue skies and warm sand all the British Public need is a holiday! July’s Glossybox theme fits perfectly- ‘Holiday Haul’.
July is all about Summer Vibes that’s for sure, and what better way to embrace it with a box full of products to help you with your travels.
If you are new to Glossybox then here is a little info. As you have probably gathered Glossybox is a beauty subscription service. Each month, it delivers a wide and varied selection of 5 beauty treats that include niche, high-end and emerging brands. I love this because you can get some good old faithful products yet try some things you would never normally buy.
The latest trends are taken into account with every single box (you can see past boxes here) to bring you reusable and stylish boxes full of beauty essentials.
There are 4 different ways to subscribe to Glossybox starting from as low as £9.50! Choose between a monthly rollover box (cancel any time), a 3 month, 6 month or 12 month pre-paid subscription. Each month there is a little deal to be had on a freebie up for grabs so make sure you keep and eye out on social media.
The Holiday Haul claims to be the perfect box for the summer with all your beauty needs covered. So, whats included;
A deluxe sample of Facial Cleansing Foam from Omorovicza worth £18.00. Omorovicza is a brand I use quite regularly and their products are generally well made and work quite well with most skin I have found. Thumbs up for this item.
Moroccanoil Treatment Oil in a deluxe sample worth £13.45. Not usually a fan of oil but this one doesn’t seem to be too greasy. Although I haven’t properly used this yet it is one I will be trying throughout the summer.
Boots Tea Tree and Witch hazel Face mask. This is a full size sheet (because can you really get sample size) and is worth just 99p. Who doesn’t love a good mask?! This is the first product I used from the box. This particular mask is AMAZING for skin that is breaking out for whatever reason. It just works!
Palmers Cocoa Butter Body Tanner ( a little bit of a tongue twister there). This one is also a deluxe sample and is worth £1.99. Will be totally honest, this is not a product I will use. I have heard good things about it and urge anyone wanting to try it to read the reviews first.
Manna Kadar Mascara is worth £22.25 and is a full size item. Manna Kadar is a brand that I am slowing coming to love. It has taken it’s sweet arse time, in my opinion, but it is really getting there. I think mascaras are a real personal thing depending what lash effect you want and for me it is always always a natural lash – no clumps (hello 2005). However, this mascara is actually sold out on their website at the mo (!) which says a lot.
July has 5 products totalling £56! So we already can see the box is a bargain. The box has a great variety of good products although I felt this month it was a little under-whelming. My favourite product in the box I think had to be the face cleanser. I personally love a foam face cleanser and this particular one my skin absolutely loved.
Overall I felt it was a very much take it or leave it box. I have high hopes for August though.
