Recently I have heard a lot about rhubarb complex and decided I would give it a go. I’ve been feeling kind of sluggish and thought a good NATURAL detox would do me the world of good. I wanted to avoid these ‘coffee’ diets and herbal tea’s. I like my tea to taste of tea not a blocked drain so I knew that route wasn’t for me.
When I heard about Rhubarb being a good natural detox I wondered how on earth I would be able to eat that much. I thought about boiling it down but it would be all I ever ate. So I looked into capsules of it instead.
A company called 21st Century Herbs came highly recommended and boasted 100% natural and organic.
The product claims to clean out your entire digestive system, aids in removal of fungal infections, candidia, warms, parasites and lifelong impacted waste…. lovely! Just what you wanted to hear just after your lunch! But hey you know I am 100% honest with you guys.
So quick answer to those impending questions…. no…. you are not going to have to rush to the toilet every two seconds, well, that’s not what I found anyway.
There are quite a lot of factors that Rhubarb can help with; weight loss, fat loss factor, IBS, Psoriasis, flatulence, bloating, allergies, yeast infections, fatigue, improvements in sleep. To name a few.
The website says it is effective within 24 hours and I would 100% agree with this. So do wait a little while before seeing any results.
So you know the reasons I decided to take these but if you are going to start taking it do your research and speak to your GP to see if it is good for you.
But what actually happened?
Ok, so after 24 hours I felt no different at all. I had taken 1 capsule a day for 2 days and still felt no different. The recommended amount is 1-2 capsules with dinner each day. I had been taking one. So on my third day/dose I decided to up it to two to see if there was any difference.
12 hours after taking it things seemed to be starting to work. Things were becoming more regular, bloating had started to go down and I actually had a reasonable amount of energy. As day 4 came round I was feeling a little bit sorry for myself. The last 3 nights I had had currys so I am not sure if it was this or the rhubarb, either way I was definitely detoxing.
With regards to weight loss, I didn’t lose a single pound, but felt much less bloated for sure.
I think theyre good to take every couple of months but not something I would add into my daily routine.
You can get 60 capsules for £24.30 (on offer from £27.00) and this will last you 1-2 months depending on the dosage you take. So as far as vitamins etc go it is quite an average price. I ordered mine from 21st Century Herbs but I am sure you can order it else where too. Note that Rhubarb forumla is not a laxative. Do your research before you start.
