Glossybox | September 2019
It feels so long since I did my last box review back in July and yet here we are, Septembers box has found its way to my kitchen table awaiting its contents to be cooed over.
Autumn boxes are my absolute favourite to photograph. I always find the help of natural things like pinecones and conkers the best kind of props to use.
Septembers box is the ‘Delicious Beauty’ Edit and one I’ve been super excited to receive. Here’s why;
If you are new to Glossybox then here is a little info. As you have probably gathered Glossybox is a beauty subscription service. Each month, it delivers a wide and varied selection of 5 beauty treats that include niche, high-end and emerging brands. I love this because you can get some good old faithful products yet try some things you would never normally buy.
The latest trends are taken into account with every single box (you can see past boxes here) to bring you reusable and stylish boxes full of beauty essentials.
There are 4 different ways to subscribe to Glossybox starting from as low as £9.50! Choose between a monthly rollover box (cancel any time), a 3 month, 6 month or 12 month pre-paid subscription. Each month there is a little deal to be had on a freebie up for grabs so make sure you keep and eye out on social media.
This months box is completely chocker-block with five out of the six products being full size. I feel like this month is all about taking care of yourself. The box’s actual title is the ‘delicious beauty’ edit and that theme is also quite fitting. Let me know what you think.
First off we have a full size Maay Banana setting Powder. I have never really seemed to get on with setting powders, I am more of a spray girl but this powder boasts an ultra-fine mineral based powder that you simply brush off after 5 mins for glowing, bright and a flawless complexion. RRP £15
Next off we have Charcoal Whitening Toothpaste from Colgate. This is actually one I have used before and would highly recommend it. Charcoal toothpastes are always a little weird but well worth the hype. Charcoal is a natural whitener that claims to remove 100% of surface stains. RRP £4
I had no idea that Carex did a hand gel to be honest but that is exactly what we have got. Carex UK do Fun edition Hand Gels in Strawberry Laces or Love Hearts. Although this is a full size bottle, it is still quite dinky like most hand gels are, but it is perfect handbag size! RRP £1.55
Fourthly we have Palmers Coconut Oil Forumla Deep Condtioning Protein Pack. I do love a good hair mask but I was concerned that this one would be too heavy for my hair. It is meant for fry, damaged or coloured hair and where mine has been just that in the past I thought it would be ok. The day after using the mask my hair was fine, however, I did fine I was washing it on day 2 instead of day 3. RRP £2.49.
Second to last we have Delhicious Body Orginal Black Tea Body Scrub. 100% natural and full of antioxidants it was always going to be a win win with this one. It smells great and does exactly what it says on the pack. The RRP is £7.95 which I think is a little expensive for a body scrub but still… a nice treat.
And lastly Mitchell and Peach Flora No.1 Fine Edition Eau de Parfum. This perfume smells absolutely amazing. It is like summer in a bottle which makes me think it would have been better in last months box but I am not complaining, it allows me to cling on to the summer vibes just that little bit longer. Smells of sweet fennel and rose. RRP £29.75 for the deluxe mini or £85 full size.
The box was an absolute winner this month. The only product that wasn’t really for me was the setting spray. I think the theme title may be could have been chosen better but that’s more picky and not something a buyer would really look at. The box contents is a real winner and one a lot of people will want to purchase or subscribe to.
