Why I love Autumn

Leaves are slowly hitting the ground, the hint of Christmas is around the corner and conkers are littering our parks…. It can only be one time of year here in the UK… AUTUMN. I think Autumn is well and truly on its way and I am so excited. It is my absolute favourite time of year regardless of the cold weather and impending clouds. There is something so sadistically beautiful about the leaves dying on trees. The colours are so varied and stunning! As you can see below things are  ...

A week in the life – Blogging & Full time work

Speaking out about blogging and working full time is one thing I do not shy away from. People often pile on the work thinking I do not have a life or I take far too much on and realise I only have evenings and weekends to work on it. I have mentioned this a couple of times on social media but people just don’t understand how you do it. I work 8.30-5 mon to fri, I hold a strong blog, I care for my family and check they are provided for and happy, I clean the house twice a week to keep  ...

September Goals

September is knocking, like where did the summer go? I feel I’ve been waiting for September since forever. Finding out I was pregnant back in June made me long for my 20 weeks more but the summer has made it fly by and here we are- September has arrived! Being pregnant means heat, plus there have been quite a few days this summer that have been unbearable so if I am completely honest I am looking forward to the cooler weather and the boots and the roll necks! Inspiration hasn’t  ...

Why August saw me have a staycation

August saw me stay very much in kent this year. This is the first in many many years that I have done this. A Staycation isn’t all that bad, especially when bank holiday weekend is 28c! I stayed in my sunny corner of the UK for many reasons but mainly because travelling in august is so expensive. Last year we flew to crete in august. Flights were £1400 for the three of us, yet, the previous year we flew to Crete in October for £60 return each! It blows my mind how travel companies are  ...

How Skydiving Changed My Outlook On Life | 50 Before 30

Today I had the pleasure of falling 12,000ft plummeting to earth at an average of 200mph! Today I did a Tandem Skydive. So it’s Sunday morning, the alarm goes off at 6.30am… on a Sunday… yes it is a killer and we jumped in the car 45 mins down the road to our local aerodrome. At this point I felt 100% fine and ready for the jump. A little excitement and not one ounce of fear. Whenever I set my mind to do something I make sure I complete it to the best of my ability and in  ...

Fairy Candles

Candles, I think, can be a very personal thing. For me, I like warm wintery smells- the vanillas and the macadamias with a little cinnamon. It disappoints me when people only buy candles of certain brands. There are so many scents out there you couldn’t even imagine. Discovering a candle that smells like nothing you could ever dream of is a winner for me. For example, what about Lavender with a caramel hint? No I have never come across that yet- but can you even imagine it??  ...
