April is here tomorrow… like APRIL(!) seriously April! I don’t know where the first 3 months of this year have gone. I remember January 1st and I was sure I was going to give birth that month and I wishes the weeks away until Evelyn’s birth, and then just like that, it happened and she is 6 weeks old!  Like WHAT THE HELL! My life is running away with me and things are not getting done that I want or need to, so here is April’s to do list; ABBBC I feel like I have  ...

If there is one company who always pull out all the stops when sending product, it is iiaa. Breastfeeding with Mama Designs MamaScarf

It comes that dreaded time in so many new mums lives when we have to take our precious little bundle out and we have to feed in public. Im not talking bottle feeding im talking full on boob out malarkey. I am that person. I am the one that all the older generations frown at when I whip out my bulbous boob and a screaming new born. Since 2010 it has been the law that no one is allowed to ask you to stop feeding in a public place. It is actually a criminal offence… still it doesn’t stop  ...

I wanted to do another review of another swaddle I have been using. Why? Because, after discovering this one I couldn’t not! I didn’t want do a comparison post because they are both right up there for me. Say hello to the ErgoPouch ergoCocoon Winter Swaddle & Sleep Bag. This swaddle is a 2.5 tog and perfect for the cold weather. The one thing I loved about on this one is that the arms have poppers. This enables you to have babies arms in or out. We opted for out as Evelyn  ...

Cheeky Rascals | Soft Touch Baby Bath Support

When I was pregnant I loved a bath. It helped backache, swelling, relaxing… just about everything. Bath time was a time I could rub my bump and talk to her and it was a time that baby used to kick like mad and toss and turn. Who doesn’t like a bath right? When I was younger I (somehow) absolutely hated them but If I do not have a couple a week now, I feel so stressed. Weird I know but it is that ‘me time’ that no one can ruin. I need that half hour of zoning out,  ...

Relieving the sleep deprivation with Sensse Eye Massager

My eyes, my poor poor eyes. So tired, yet, I am determined to not look it. No I haven’t been lathering products onto my face hoping to look ten years younger having just had ten hours sleep. I have been using the Sensse Eye Massager. 4 years ago I paid a few thousand pounds for laser eye surgery. It was the best money I had ever spent. That day I vowed to look after my eyes with everything I have. I never ever go to bed with eye makeup on, I throw away makeup after eye infections or  ...

Simplifying Skincare

I love a lavish skincare routine! From Snail Secretion to Bee Venom to Aloe Vera…. I have tried so many products. Yes, a lot of them work really well, a lot of the do not. Since having Evelyn my skin care routine has gone out the window. All those products are currently gathering dust and have made way for the basics. My priorities have changed and my skin care is unfortunately not one of them right now. Has my face suffered? Yes, a little. Do I care? Not one bit. So what have I been  ...

Glossybox | March 2018

How is it March 19th already! A whole month since Evelyn arrived and the wondrous March Glossybox has been sitting on the side for the last week screaming at me to open it! With all the snow that happened earlier in the month etc my first box got lost somewhere between HQ and the front door, and thankfully, the glorious lovelies over at customer service sent me a replacement box! (They are definitely angels)! This month sees a fresh breath of fresh air in the form of Glossybox’s  ...

Motherhood | The first chapters of life

Motherhood. No one can prepare you for it. No matter how many websites you read or how much advice you are given you can only be told about experience. Each baby is unique and only the minority are text book babies. I remember being told that having a ‘good baby’ is sleeping through the night at 6 weeks. After ample research it turns out babies shouldn’t sleep through the night and if they do you are most likely over feeding them. Babies should wake every 2-5 hours  ...

Keeping Evelyn Warm | Love To Dream Swaddle Up

The weather has been pretty frightful recently especially the week after Evelyn was born. We daren’t take her out in the thick snow so we stayed inside wrapped up. With a new born, rooms are meant to be kept between 16c and 20c. The heating is all well and good but with the weather It can be quite costly. We managed to keep the temperature at around 19c, not too hot but not too cold. However, with a vest and sleep suit this still is not warm enough for a new born. They need something  ...
