Skin Chemist

Id never heard of the company Skin Chemists until recently when they asked me about their product range. The company product 100% organic cruelty free skincare. But with a twist. Their products are unconventional and push the boundaries of obscure, however, they work like no other. From snake serum to bee venom to snail secretion… this company is cutting edge and brings real science and skincare back to the forefront of the market. I was privileged to be giving the opportunity of trialing  ...

Hair on…. Hair off.

I have never really paid much attention to my hair. I dyed it about a year ago and it’s still growing out. I have some weird dodgy ombre thing going on right now. However, one thing I do struggle with is brushing my hair when I’ve come out the shower or you’ve had a back comb frenzy. Then this month’s subscription of GlossyBox arrived. In it contained a brush from a company called Hairon. I recently did a post about their hair ties on Instagram (you can read it here). The brush is like a  ...

My Milkshake brings all the boys to the yard…

Hair! It’s a main focus for a woman. Not necessarily styling for all but definitely in washing. I have tried many a shampoo but the build-up on formula on your hair slowly begins to weigh It down after a few washes. I have also found the best shampoo for really stripping the entire residue out of your hair! Tresemme Deep Cleansing shampoo! I use it maybe once a week to really strip it back, if I use It more often that that I feel my hair is actually deprived of the essential natural oils,  ...

Hey Honey?

So I’ve recently been looking for some unique home ware items to add to my lounge. I’ve searched and searched for random bits and bobs everywhere. I have tried the cute boutiques of Camden, the bizarre websites of china and even the local charity shops… but nothing. I wanted homey bits, items that say things about us as a family. And then it happened… I stumbled across this amazing website – Honeyz&Home. There items are simply gorgeous. I can’t find any cute bits like them anywhere and  ...

Body What?

Everyone, absolutely everyone (in the UK at least) has heard of The Body Shop. It was one of the first international cosmetics companies to introduce fair trade to the cosmetics and toiletries industry in 1987! Crazy huh? So, lately social media has been a platform to hundreds of MLM companies struggling to make their mark on society. I personally have tried a few of the brands products, from Actiderm to Younique (my fave) to Nuskin and Forever Living. Everyone (lets face it) are sick of  ...

Matte Liquid Lipsticks

I have been on the hunt for a Liquid Matte Lipstick for a few months now and have tried around 7 different brands only to find they wear quickly or rub off easily. After being recommended by an MUA friend i finally ordered two beautiful shades of Hydra-Matte Liquid Lipstick from Gerard Cosmetics. I was a little dubious at first as they do not have any UK stores but risked the US online purchase. I need not have been worried. For starters their delivery was quick and I had no problems at  ...

Hair growth products- Farce or fave?

Hair care products have always been a farce for me. I never feel they do exactly what they say without a negative side effect. I once purchased a product that was meant to dazzle shine your hair. Needless to say it did shine my hair but only because the light bounced off the grease. So when, at the age of 24, my hair line started to recede, just like my fathers and his father before him, I was devastated. I found many products that claimed to promote hair growth but none actually seemed to  ...

Mucky Pup!

I am a huge fan of face/skin masks! I have always suffered from combination skin so finding a product that does not dry my skin out of make it greasy is really difficult! I have recently been give the Marine Mud Mask from Nuskin to review. My first reaction was it goes on so easily. Its not as thick as some face masks and there is no over powering, eye watering smell either! Leave on for 15-20 minutes it reads. As it dries it tightens like most masks, however, this one felt different…  ...

The Eye of the Tiger!

Serum! It’s not just the older generation that should use it! The health benefits have been proven time and time again! Prevention is key when you are dealing with dry skin and wrinkles! If you can put elasticity back into your skin then the prevention of wrinkles and such like are postponed! So I have been using  4 different products over the course of the last few months to determine whether any of them really make a difference in a 20 something aged woman! The answer- YES!   So I  ...
